Ein bisschen Lob hie und da kann die wissenschaftliche Arbeit allerdings erleichtern.

Ich habe mein Studium mit Politikwissenschaften und Recht begonnen und mit Biostatistik und Computational Science abgeschlossen. Meine Dissertation in der Statistik mit Fokus auf Meta-Methodologie hat mich von Zürich nach Wien und wieder zurückgeführt. Neben meiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit habe ich mich für eine wissenschaftsfreundliche Kultur eingesetzt und habe dazu die wissenschaftliche Ideenschmiede «Reatch» mitgegründet.

Ich arbeite als Fachexperte und Unternehmensarchitekt für künstliche Intelligenz (lese: komplex statistische Modelle) bei der schweizerischen Bundeskanzlei und bin Mitglied der Tierversuchskommission des Kantons Zürich.

Ich schreibe viel, moderiere gerne und diskutiere oft – manchmal alles gleichzeitig.

Once I was an avid tamer of fruit flies and the merciless bane of infectious worms. Then I realised that statistical subtleties are much more to my liking.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in neuroinformatics, law, and political sciences as well as a Master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Zurich. I then finished a second Master's degree in Computational Science and Engineering at EPFL Lausanne.

My dissertation at the Department of Machine Learning and Mathematical Modeling of the University of Zurich and the Medical University of Vienna focused on meta-methodological questions revolving reproducibility and good statistical practice. In this regard, I am also member of the animal research commission of the canton of Zurich.

I work as an enterprise architect and subject matter expert for artificial intelligence (read: complex statistical models) for the Swiss Federal Chancellery.
